Rock-Used

Our preowned pop and rock section is the most represented genre in our entire inventory. We literally have thousands of rock records. Some are somewhat coveted and rare and others are pretty common, the Foreigner 4's and Frampton Comes Alive of the world. What is listed here is just a small representation of what we have in stock. If you are looking for something specific, give us a call, DM, or email and hit us up. We can take care of transactions often times over the phone via credit or debit cards or via sending payment via pay pal.

A Trick of the Tail
Artist: Genesis
$8. 98
| Buy Now
Condition: Pre-Played/Used
Label: ATCO

An early post-Peter Gabriel release (1976) from Genesis that is very solid because it is a pre-"Duke" release (Yes, that is an "American Psycho" film reference) because it's still very artsy but has begun to add the elements of pop that would be the signature of all their 1980s hits! Includes "Squonk", "Dance On A Volcano", "Mad Man Moon", and "A Trick of the Tail". On a personal note, not really being a Genesis fan, this is a pretty solid release. Look for other Genesis records as well as Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins solo material when shopping at Rediscover Records.

Against the Wind
Artist: Bob Seger
$12. 98
| Buy Now
Condition: Gently Used
Label: EMI

A big hit record for Seger and the Silver Bullet Band from 1980 with bar bustin' tunes like "Horizontal Bop", "You'll Accomp'ny Me", "Against The Wind", "Her Strut", "Betty Lou's Gettin' Out Tonight" and "Fire Lake". This was on all the FM and AM radio stations (that's terrestrial radio for you young'uns). Relive the glory days with these rockin' tunes or discover them for the first time. Look for the YouTube video where as recent as 2/27/13, Bob Seger covered the Wilco/Billy Bragg (Woodie Guthrie-penned) "California Stars".

Now, in "Her Strut" is it, "We respect her, but. . ." or is it "We respect her butt. . ." ??? Oh Bob Seger, you wily rascal, you.

Jeffreys was one of the more appreciated songwriters of the late 70's but falls into the category of not getting the fame he may have deserved. Such is life in the music business . . .

Artist: The Godfathers
$12. 98

Condition: Gently Used
Label: Epic

The Godfathers were a great rock band, out of London, with delectable crunchy guitars that pre-date the grunge era by a few years. This gently used record is in great shape, in site and sound, ships with a poly sleeve

Also includes these great tracks, "Birth, School, Work, Death", "If I Only Had Time", "Tell Me Why", "It's So Hard", "When Am I Coming Down", "Cause I Said So", "The Strangest Boy", "S.T.B.", "Just Like You", "Obsession", "Love is Dead"

Includes the single that became a hit for someone else, "Mr Bojangles, but also includes "Demon In Disguise", "Jugband Song", "Hardworkin' John" and "Sharon". There is pop culture and rock history with "Sharon". Do you know what it is? It's sampled on The Beastie Boys 1989 release "Paul's Boutique". Once you hear "Sharon" you'll know it straight away. If the Beastie Boys thought of enough of this record to sample it, well, then... Oh, and by the way, a few other notable musicians appear on this record, people like; Jerry Garcia, Phil Lesh, and Bill Kreutzmann. Produced by David Bromberg. One more thing, instead of running around the internet looking for a song sample of "Sharon", why don't you stop into Rediscover Records and pick this up? Support your local record stores! Condition: Gently Used
Label: Mercury Records

In some circles there seems to be a tale of two Rod's. There's the rockin' Rod from the Faces, Small Faces, his work with Jeff Beck, and some of his earlier solo records. Then there is the disco Rod and the easy-listening-cover-the-standards Rod. This is certainly the former, rather than the latter. Included in this work is his cover of Bob Dylan's "Tomorrow Is A Long Time", as well as, "Amazing Grace" and "I'm Losing You". It also includes the hits "Maggie Mae", "Mandolin Wind" and "Every Picture Tells A Story". This is a great record, not to be denied.
