Excellent 2018 release by Chicago three piece combo, Sunshine Boys. If harmonies, jangly guitars; tight and well-crafted pop songs are in your wheelhouse, then this release is for you. Released somewhat locally by our friends at Cheap Kiss Records this set includes, Questions, Tripping Through Time, Billy Boy, Glider Pilot, Schoolyard Bully, John Cage, Blue Music, Sign of Life, and other tunes. The band is Jackie Schimmel, Freda Love Smith, and Dag Juhlin, who all have quite the resume of current and previous bands such as The Slugs, Blake Babies, Mysteries of Life, and Poi Dog Pondering. Pressed on some sweet looking blue (music) vinyl and includes a lyric sheet. On a sidenote of gratitude, Rediscover Records is thanked in the liner notes. Thanks guys! Sunshine Boys did a few small record store shows to promote the release of the record in March of 2018 and they performed here. A true pinch yourself moment for us.
