We are here the posted hours. We don't arrive a 20 minutes late, or leave a leave an hour early. In fact, sometimes we will be open be later on certain Friday or Saturdays if we have a Live Music Event or if there are things going on in town; Art Shows, Events, First Fridays, etc. We usually post to social media and update our site here if we are extending hours for an event.

We accept all major credit cards. This also would include any bank GIFT CARDS you may have. Bring 'em here! Buy some records!

We are but a few blocks from the Elgin Stop on the Metra Line. The Pace Bus Stop is also just blocks away on Chicago St, as is the bike path. There is ample parking at the Spring Street and Fulton St. Parking decks. All parking on Elgin City streets are free parking! For a reference point, we just just 2 blocks north of the Grand Victoria Casino and Festival Park.

A few words on the records on our site. We do not have every record in our shop on the site. Our New Vinyl section is the most comprehensive and our home page features New Releases/Reissues in stock. The pre-loved used LP tabs are but a representation of the records we may have. We, literally, have 1000s of records in our modest shop with multiple genres; rock, pop, punk, metal, soul, jazz, R&B, country, reggae, foreign countries, soundtracks, Broadway, classical, harmonica, polkas, and others. Dollar records continue to be price at "3 for $1". Gather info from the site and stop by! Meet some new friends, say "Hi" to us at the counter, and dig some records.

Buying from our site. Of course you can buy records from our site. We have it set up so you can purchase items with our "Buy Now" buttons via Pay Pal. You can check out via Pay Pal, a modest shipping and handling charge will be added (usually $4.99 or $5.99) and we ship the next business day via Media Mail. If you were looking to make a bulk LP purchase, contact us and we will make a streamlined shipping charge back channel. We've shipped across the country.

We also buy your gently used records. We can look at/buy/take in records TUESDAY THRU SATURDAY only. We pay cash (sometimes check) or offer an in-store credit. We can't promise you wealth (sometimes nothing at all) but we can take a look at them. The best thing to do is bring them in since we can't make an assessment over the phone. Currently we are not in the market for classical, opera, Christmas, certain Big Band, Andy Williams, Mitch Miller and the Gang, 101 Strings, and things of that ilk.

We participate in Record Store Day! Record Store Day is the third Saturday each April (unless Easter falls that weekend) and we have been a participating store for several years. We post our list of RSD items we will have in stock two days before Record Store Day and we open promptly at 8am. We cannot order RSD titles for you nor can we hold records for you. A line usually forms on RSD by 5am and the line is first come, first serve. With that in mind, we kindly ask you do not call "dibs" with a lawn chair, yard statue, or a chain saw. C'mom man, you came to get in line, stay in the line! The rapport in the line is awesome, is chill, and has great energy! Music and record stories are often shared and some may even bring treats to share. Join us on RSD throughout the day. There's usually titles available all day, not to mention our usual vast stock of New Releases/Reissues and preloved records. There is also a Black Friday Record Store which we also participate in.

In the meantime, we got some records to spin! Get your bad self over to Rediscover Records!
