It is an original release, not a reissue or reproduction. These White records on this site are rare and very collectible. This record has extensive liner notes written by music archivist, Alan Lomax. This record includes "I Gave My Love A Cherry", "Watercress", "Waltzing Matilda", "Strange Fruit", & "Nobody Knows You When You Are Down and Out". Josh White has performed in the White House and was the first black artist to play the Society Cafe in New York's Greenwich Village. He had a stamp made for him by the United States Post Office.
