Tanglewood Numbers - Silver Jews

Tanglewood Numbers - Silver Jews
Label: Drag City Records

Some may say the Silver Jews are just a different creative outlet for Pavement's Stephen Malkmus, and they would not be wrong. Well, kinda wrong. David Berman is the only constant member in a band with several rotating members. This record does include Malkmus and Bob Nastanovich, in addition to Berman's wife, Cassie. Interesting to note, this records back and front cover were taken by renowned photographer William Eggleston (think Big Star's "Radio City"). Another great record that may be a "grower" for some, but once it sinks its teeth in you, you'll continually be back for more. Produced by Berman and released on Chicago's Drag City label, this record was met with acclaim from critics and fans alike.

Red Apple Falls - Smog

Label: Drag City Records

Lovely and lavishly recording by Smog and Bill Callahan, which includes Blood Red Bird, Ex-Con, Finer Days, I Was A Stranger, and others. Borrowing a few words from our friends at the Drag City record label, "Lush instrumentation threads through the material, and the ability to fictionalize places our hero in deeper emotional water."

Divers - Joanna Newsom

Divers - Joanna Newsom
Label: Drag City

Double album set from Drag City Records recording artist Joanna Newsom "Divers". Sometimes the artist's site has the best capsule for a record much better than we could come up with, so here's Drag City's brief bio on this album, "...further along and down the road apiece from where she took her leave of us, Joanna Newsom plays on. Breathe deep and equalize your today-ears to the new world of Divers...

I See A Darkness - Bonnie "Prince" Billy

I See A Darkness - Bonnie Prince Billy
Label: Drag City Records

This 1999 release is, arguably, one of Will Oldham's best releases. It's best to listen in a dark room with the only other sounds, perhaps, a creaky floor and a ticking clock. Vinyl sounds better and this record is no exception. If you are unfamiliar with Bonnie "Prince" Billy, this record is an incredible place to start. There's a darkness on the edge of town and it lurks within this record.

Purple Mountains - Purple Mountains

Label: Drag City Records

The stunning last release from David Berman before his untimely passing in 2019. You may know some of his work with Silver Jews but on this release he was working under the guise of Purple Mountains. Released on Chicago's Drag City Records, this LP includes That's Just the Way I Feel, Darkness and Gold, Snow Is Falling In Manhattan, Maybe I'm the Only One For Me, Nights That Won't Happen, and others.

Berman was a resident of Nashville and a big NFL and Tennessee Titans fan. The Titans ran a wonderful memorial on the scoreboard on 11/10/2019 that read, "Nashville (and the world) will always love David Berman. 1967-2019"

Buckingham Nicks - Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham

Label: Rhino Records

Finally! The long-awaited release and reissue of the one-off release by Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham! "Buckingham Nicks" (1973 original release year) was never rereleased nor was it released on Compact Disc, even in the peak CD sales times of the late 80s, 90's, and into the 2000s. If you saw an original in the wild it was at least $40, even in 2010 (unless you lucked out at a garage sale or goodwill) and nowadays an original was commanding prices of $80 to $100 in record stores and especially those websites where dudes are selling records from their Mom's basement. Get a pristine reissue for a great price and be the first one to play it.

Man's Best Friend - Sabrina Carpenter

Label: Island Records

Hot new release from one of the biggest pop stars of this decade, so far. Get the 2025 smash hit from Sabrina Carpenter! A two record set with fancy gatefold cover art.

Guitar - Mac Demarco

Label: mac's record label

More lo-fi brilliance from Mac Demarco! This 2025 LP from Demarco has some "Ram" era McCartney energy with a little bit of Sparklehorse as there are several moments of pop brilliance on this record. It's not secret Mac is a fan of psychedelic music and this guitar has the tone of Alexander "Skip" Spence's guitar from his brilliant solo record "Oar". Check out that LP if you haven't. It's impossible to find on vinyl but give it a listen digitally.

Double Infinity - Big Thief

Label: 4AD Records

Great 2025 release by Big Thief! Includes the title track as well as Words, Los Angeles, No Fear, Grandmother, Happy With You, and others. One of the better bands in recent years. Check 'em out, if you haven't!

Straight Line Was A Lie - The Beths

Label: ANTI-records

2025 release from Australia's Beths. One of the brighter lights of new artists in this now 25 year old century! Includes Take, Best Laid Plans, Metal, No Joy, Ark of the Covenant, and other tunes. The Beths are Elizabeth Stokes, Jonathan Pearce, Benjamin Sinclair, and Tristan Deck. Get some new artists in your life!

Master of Puppets - Metallica

Master of Puppets - Metallica
Label: Warner Brothers

The classic 1986 release reissued here on Warner Brothers. Here is another one of those records where there is nothing more to be said, so we won't, other than, "awesome".  Find it here at Rediscover Records with all the classic songs "Battery", "Master of Puppets", "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)", and "Damage, Inc".  We bet you even know which songs we omitted from the list of songs.  Ingrained in your brain.  When you buy from our secure site with "Buy Now" buttons, they take you directly to your own Pay Pal account.

RKS (10th Anniv via RSD) - Rainbow Kitten Surprise

Label: RKS Recordings

Special Record Store Day release for 2025 from Rainbow Kitten Surprise to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of "RKS". Sharp looking gatefold record with 20 tracks that include 9 never before heard demo recordings of the record. You know the record, probably, so here are a few of the record's demos Wasted, Lady Lie, Cold Love, The Comedown, Cocaine Jesus, Run, and others.

To Pimp A Butterfly (10 year) - Kendrick Lamar

Label: Interscope Records

10 year anniversary of "To Pimp A Butterfly". How is that even possible, but here we are. For the moment we have the indie record store edition with the vinyl as pictured. These won't last!

Baduizm - Erykah Badu

Baduizm - Erykah Badu
Label: Kedar Records

Debut album from Erykah Badu, who incidentally, was a recent Taste of Chicago performer. The cover is as pictured on this stunning entry into the music scene. This record includes "On & On", "Appletree", "No Love", "Leaf Cover" and others. This release was met with universal acclaim from fans and even the critics for her style and her artistic vision. Recorded in New York, Dallas, and Philadelphia. Badu has drawn comparisons with the likes of Billie Holiday. Recently (2020) ranked in the Top 25 of Rolling Stone's Top 500 records of all time.

Born to Die - Lana Del Rey

Born to Die - Lana Del Rey
Label: Polydor Records

Fabulous 2012 release from Lana Del Rey, who should not be sold short as some sort of pop tart. According to Filter, "Hollywood beauty shot through with emcee swag." Includes "Video Games", "Billy Jean", "Radio", "Million Dollar Man" and "Born to Die". Find this in our new releases bins of our shop.

Note: "Buy Now" and get it shipped to your door. You'll be redirected to PayPal, a modest shipping charge ($4.98 for single LPs) will be added. Please contact us if you’d like to bundle a few records with one shipping charge. We ship next day.

Pick-Up Option: If you'd like to pick up this record (and others) at the shop, we can arrange a "non-shipping" payment, plus sales tax. Send an email or DM via the socials and we can set-up payment and an appointment

Cruel Country - Wilco

Label: dbpm Records

The twelve studio record from Wilco is a proper double album of songs, not a single album stretched out over 2 records. These are 21 brand new songs from veteran rockers, Wilco. A return to an earlier installment of Wilco, these songs have a very country feel to them and the title may be a poke at the state of the country in recent years, a cruel country. Lyrics come on perforated postcards (from hell?) and for the time being (supplies limited), we have the indie release on Red & White vinyl(s).

Beacon Theater NYC - Grateful Dead

Label: Rhino Records

Record Store Day 2025 Grateful Dead extravaganza! The Dead are usually good for some sort of elaborate box set and this is not exception. The box itself is gorgeous and this complete show from the Beacon Theater in NYC is pressed to 5 records. Includes a booklet of liner notes. Tunes include Might As Well, Playing In The Band, The Wheel, Cosmic Charlie, Mama Tried, Samson & Delilah, US Blues, and others. This will look great in your collection! If buying from our site, a $12 Shipping/Handling charge will be added in with your PayPal account. Thanks!! There's limited supplies in the shop as well. See you soon!

Live at Winchester Cathedral - Sly & the Family Stone

Label: High Moon Recordings

Record Store Day 2025 release from Sly & the Family Stone. The hype sticker says it all, "Black/White Male/Female Rock/Soul: Sly & the Family Stone was the true chimera. On this unissued, unprecedented vintage live recording we hear them emerge fully formed from the womb." Includes 24 page booklet, 15,000 word essay, and 2 vinyl pressed to clear wax. Recorded at Winchester Cathedral in Redwood City on March 26th, 1967. You might wanna get this. Limited supplies, as of this writing on May 14, 2025, we have just 3 copies.

30 - Adele

Label: Columbia Records

This is 30. This is 30 at $38.98. The highly anticipated record from the incomparable Adele. The 2 record collection includes My Little Love, Crazy By Nature, Oh My God, Can I Get It, and others. It's her first release since "25" in 2015 when she was 25.

Back to Black - Amy Winehouse

Back to Black - Amy Winehouse
Label: Island Records

#YaaasssQueen - The second album by England's Amy Winehouse. Released in 2006 to critical acclaim as well as public acclaim, this is a great modern day R&B classic. It draws inspiration from jazz, soul, and R&B. It employs the great Dap Kings as her band. Celebrate her life and just listen to the music. The music. This is a great record, one of 2006's best. Nominated for multiple Grammy awards. This is the recent reissue.

Rubber Soul - The Beatles

Rubber Soul - The Beatles
Label: Parlophone Records

An artist's artist album, especially the UK version with Drive My Car, If I Needed Someone, and Nowhere Man. It's debatable when the Beatles really came into their own as artists, but most would agree it began with "Rubber Soul", but a case could be made by going back one record to "Help". Just to be clear, this is the reissue of this Beatles record. They were all remastered and re-released in November of 2012. They are the Parlophone UK pressings with the song sequence as The Beatles intended them to be released (as opposed to the Capital counterparts overseas)

Darkness On the Edge of Town - Bruce Springsteen

Darkness On the Edge of Town - Bruce Springsteen
Label: Columbia Records

The 1978 release of Bruce Springsteen's "Darkeness On the Edge of Town" and the tour that ensued are the stuff of rock n roll legend. These songs, that are now staples in his show, were brand new and toured for the first time. It was this tour Springsteen and the E Street Band went from clubs to larger theaters and arenas with shows stretching out over 3 hours. On Darkness gone is the production of Born to Run (think Phil Spector Wall-of-Sound) and what results is a gritty rock record that still holds up today. Includes songs, "Badlands", "The Promised Land", "Darkness", "Candy's Room" "Prove It All Night", among others. This is a recent reissue.

Divide - Ed Sheeran

Divide - Ed Sheeran
Label: Asylum

Ed Sheeran is really making a name for himself theses days. He's already immensely popular but recent appearances on Saturday Night Live and inroads into the so-called "cooler fans" of music have brought him to new audiences, fer sure. This LP featues 16 tracks including "Castle On the Hill", "Shape of You", "Perfect", "New Man", "What Do I Know", as well as others. One of our featured 2017 releases, buy it now from our site or find it on our New Vinyl rack against the south wall as you walk in. And just think, you don't even have to go to Westoros to find this. #GoT.Thanks for your business, as always.

Low - David Bowie

Label: Parlophone Records

Reissue of the 1977 release by David Bowie. Includes Speed of Life, Breaking Glass, Sound & Vision, Weeping Wall, and others. Recorded primarily in France this was the first of Bowie's releases considered as part of the "Berlin Trilogy" after his move to West Berlin. Also the first of his collaborations with Brian Eno. This is the 45th anniv reissue from 2022

Diving Deeper Live - Tori Amos

Another great 2025 installment for Record Store Day. A 4-song EP that includes Here In My Head, Crazy, Sister Janet, and Mother Revolution. Also includes Jon Evans on bass, guitar, and pedals; as well as Ash Soan on Drums, Percussion, and Loops. This vinyl was mastered at Abbey Road Studios.

PORTALS marks the 27-year-old NYC-born singer-songwriter-filmmaker’s first full-length release in nearly four years following her 2 billion-streaming, RIAA Gold-certified second album, K-12, which proved a sensation upon its September 2019 release, entering the Billboard 200 at #3 – Martinez’s highest chart placement thus far – with further debuts at #1 on the Alternative album chart, and #1 on the Soundtrack album chart.

Includes Shit Shots Count, Primier Coat, Hanging On, Made Up English Oceans, and others. As of 2025, the line-up of DBT is still the same as this record - Patterson Hood, Mike Cooley, EZB Brad Morgan, Jay Gonzalez, and Matt Patton. Catch 'em live if you can! They bring the rock show!

On the Mouth - Superchunk

On the Mouth - Superchunk
Label: Merge Records

The 1992 release from Superchunk and this is the content you came here for! Third proper full-length, recorded in LA with greaser / handyman / all-around good guy John Reis of Rocket from the Crypt... The plot thickens, the songs lengthen, contains hits like "The Question is How Fast" and "Precision Auto." One of the great unheralded bands of this era. To those who know, we are preaching to the choir. C'mon, it's The Chunk.

One Hand Clapping - Paul McCartney and Wings

Label: MPL Productions - Capital

Paul McCartney & Wings at the peak of their powers in that sweet spot of Wings sound in the mid-1970's. This record was recorded LIVE in-studio at Abbey Road Studios in 1974. This 2 record set includes Band On the Run, Maybe I'm Amazed, Soily, Hi Hi Hi, Jet, Let Me Roll It, Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five, and a couple snippets of songs from that other band Paul was in. In the live version of the great rocker Junior's Farm, Paul even gives the shout-out "Take me down Jimmy" to the late, great Jimmy McColloch. Includes some cool liner notes in three languages. Pick it up today, a must-listen for any Wings fan.

Acoustic Sessions - Liam Gallagher

Label: Warner Brothers

2025 release from the incomparable band, Destroyer, which really is Dan Bejar as the mastermind behind all of the Destroyer projects. Once you go down the Bejar rabbit hole, you may never come back up.

18 Singles - U2

Label: Universal Records

A seriously outstanding compilation of U2's singles from their inception as a band til 2006. It's amazing and it reminds you of what a powerhouse catalog of music they've released over the decades. The nice thing is the songs are *not* in sequence as they were released so you'll jump from Beautiful Day and then jump back to I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For and then back to Vertigo. Also included is Mysterious Ways, One, Desire, Pride (In the Name of Love), Elevation, and others. If you're of a certain age these are songs that will remind you of certain times in your life and where you were at the time. Includes lyrics and extra liner notes on the recordings.

Strums the Blues - Lightning Hopkins

Label: Third Man Records

Excellent reissue from our friends at Third Man Records! Strums the Blues is a compilation that was originally released in 1958 on the Score label. It is a collection of his legendary early Aladdin 78" sides. These songs have been carefully remastered for this release and cut by Warren Defever and Bill Skibbe. The cover art has been reimagined by modern-day folk artist Tim Kerr.

Live at the Greek Theater - Jimmy Page & The Black Crowes

Label: Silver Arrow Records

This isn't the the 2 record or 2 CD set that came out several years ago. This is the 25th anniversary edition from 2025. It includes several more songs spread out over 6 records! 36 tunes of Led Zeppelin classics as well as Black Crowes cuts that were not in the original release. It's heavy on "Physical Graffiti" material and the sleeper Black Crowes tune is Wiser Time, which is tremendous. The Crowes are a superb band to accompany Page and Chris Robinson does a great job channeling Robert Plant. Then there's moments when Page goes full-on "Jimmy Page" on some of these tracks, namely Celebration Day, What Is and What Should Never Be, Lemon Song, You Shook Me, Custard Pie, The Inner Light, Misty Mountain Hop, to name a few. There's some well-picked covers by Peter Green era Fleetwood Mac, BB King, Little Walter and others.

Then entire set is fantastic with several great photos on the inner sleeves and a cool poster. The 6th record is all never before released sound check material!! A must-have for any Zeppelin/Page or Black Crowes fan. You need this!

If buying from the site, a $12 shipping & handling fee will be tacked on as you pay from your PayPal. Thanks!!

This is the suggested retail price being it on the limited presses red vinyl.

RTJ4 - Run the Jewels

Label: BMG Records

The much-anticipated release 2020 from Run the Jewels! Includes the hit Ooh La La as well as Yankee and the Brave (ep 4), Out of Sight, Pulling the Pin, and others. Entertainment Weekly says, "The no-holds barred rap duo return when we need them most." Listen to what the New York Times has to say, "Run the Jewels are rewriting rap's rules." A two disc set with a lyric book. Dope.

Great Impersonator - Halsey

Label: Columbia Records

"A Lifelong Performance By Halsey" reads the back of the record jacket. A 2024 release by the eclectic artist, Halsey, this album includes Dog Years, Only Living Girl In LA, Letter to God, Darwinism, and others. A sharp looking gatefold release with awesome liner notes too.

Wild Onion - Twin Peaks

Wild Onion - Twin Peaks
Label: Grand Jury Records

We're excited to be carrying Twin Peaks "Wild Onion"! Released in 2014 on the Grand Jury label, there is no shortage of praise for this rock combo, as you can see in just a couple of the quotes here. Included in this LP is "I Found A New Way", "Mirror of Time", "Sloop Jay D", "Stranger World", "Flavor", "Hold On" and others. Look at the album art font, looks like a wonderful homage to the Beach Boys "Wild Honey". In any event, pick this up today! Includes an MP3 download of the entire record so you can take it on the go.

Evergreen - Soccer Mommy

Label: Loma Vista Records

Sophie Allison has always written candidly about her life, making Soccer Mommy one of indie rock’s most interesting and beloved artists of the last decade. On Evergreen, Allison is again writing about her life but life’s different these days. Since 2022's Sometimes, Forever, Allison experienced a profound and personal loss. New songs emerged, unflinching reflections on what she was feeling. She wanted them to sound that way too, as true to the demos as possible. Nothing overindulgent, everything real.

Blue - Jesus Lizard

Label: Capital Records

2023 Record Store Day release by the Jesus Lizard!! First time reissued on vinyl and also includes the lyrics on the inner sleeve. The incomparable David Yow and Jesus Lizard! Get some! Pressed to a metallic blue vinyl and limited to just 2000 copies.
