Stankonia - Outkast

- Label: Arista Records
A sealed repressing of the 2000 hip hop classic by Outkast. This, obviously, predates the big hit "Hey Ya" which put them a little more on the map with the general public. This is a 2 LP set wich features "Gasoline Dreams", "So Fresh, So Clean", "Ms Jackson", "Humble Mumble", "BOB" "Xplosion" and others. Though we do have a modest selection of hip hop 12" singles in our pre-played hip hop bins, find this in our "New Vinyl" racks in the three tiered rack along the wall. If you'd like to buy this from our site here, just click on the "Buy Now" link and you will be led to your own Pay Pal account where a modest shipping charge of $4.99 will be added on to the price. Thanks for shopping at Rediscover Records.
Blurryface - Twenty One Pilots

- Label: Fueled By Ramen
Released in May of 2015, this record created quite the stir. It's their second release after signing to the Fueled By Ramen label. This Columbus, Ohio duo, specializing in their own special brand of alternative hip-hop and electronic indie pop with "Blurryface" as it reached Number One on the Billboard Album Charts. Includes the first single "Fairly Local" as well as "Tear In My Heart", "Stressed Out", and "Ride". Special vinyl packaging that you'll see when you purchase it and a full download of the album. FUN FACT: The band is named after the Arthur Miller play "All My Sons".
Midnight Marauders - A Tribe Called Quest

- Label: Jive Fecords
A repress of the 1993 classic, "Midnight Marauders" from A Tribe Called Quest. Released on Jive Records, this LP went to the Top of the R&B/HipHop Charts as well as Number 8 on the Billboard Hot 200. Includes the single "Award Tour", as well as, "Electric Relaxation" and "Oh My God". ATCQ has three records on The Source's list of Top Rap Albums, this is one of them.
Stop in the shop to pick it up, DM/email us for prepaid contact-free pick-up, or use our Buy Now feature and get it shipped right to your door! A modest $4.98 (usually) will be added on as you check out with PayPal. Thanks!!
Enter the Wu Tang (36 Chambers) - Wu Tang Clan

- Label: Loud Records
Now me - being a white, suburban-class, pimply teenager - would normally write off a large group of hip hopperz, or gangsta thugz, as being pretty unintelligent and... Well... Stupid (C'mon! I wear thick-framed glasses, khakis, and listen to Wilco!) Then a person like Robert Diggs (aka RZA) comes around and blows every notion I had ever had about Hip Hop out of the water. This guy - pretty much known as a thug from brooklyn - wrote, arranged, produced, mixed, and arranged nearly this whole masterpiece of a record. The story behind the title itself is pretty amazing (Wikipedia it, if haven't heard). This record changed the way I listen to music, and taught me a lot about that whole 'never judge a record by its sleeve' thing... Well... Everything except Barbra Streisand... -John Perrin, Elgin, IL (John is currently the drummer for the incomparable NRBQ and an in-demand session musician)
The Wall - Pink Floyd

- Label: Pink Floyd Records
Reissue of the 1979 record by Pink Floyd, "The Wall". Arguably their finest work. Includes all the songs you remember including In the Flesh?, Hey You, Mother, Empty Spaces, Young Lust, Goodbye Cruel World, and others. This set is remastered by James Guthrie, Joel Plante, and Bernie Grundman from the original analogue tapes. Spend a few more bucks and get this sweet reissue. Often times, in some places, an original of sometimes dubious quality is marked nearly at this price. You'll be the first one to play this! Fun Fact from the Liner Notes: That is Toni Tennille on the record who says, "Are these all your guitars?"
Suck You Dry (Reprise Years) - Mudhoney

- Label: Reprise Records
Another 2024 Record Store Day exclusive we have available. A 5-LP box set that covers Mudhoney's years on the Reprise Record label. Vinyl copies included in this box set are Piece of Cake, My Brothers the Cow, Tomorrow Hit Today, Live 93 - 98, Five Dollar Bob's Mock Cooter Stew and Demos. Your local store may have sold out of these or didn't even order them. We have two left as of this writing. Stop in or order off our site today! You'll be redirected to your PayPal site where a S&H charge will be added on and you can pay from there. Shipping applies to domestic shippings only.
Siamese Dream - Smashing Pumpkins

- Label: Virgin Records
2025 reissue of the Smashing Pumpkins alternative radio hit, Siamese Dream. This was the peak of the Alternative Rock hey day with all the Alterna-kids! This mainstreaming of the alternative music market should not diminish the brilliance of this record. One of the more exciting reissues to come out in recent years. It's a pretty cool looking packaged gatefold, so it's got some girth. As pictured, it is the black vinyl variant.
Aladdin Sane - David Bowie

- Label: Parlophone Records
David Bowie's 6th record and the follow-up to the smash Ziggy Stardust. The album was recorded at Trident Studios in London and includes Drive-In Saturday, Panic In Detroit, Jean Genie, The Cracked Actor, and others. The album title is a play on words of "A Lad Insane". Get it? It's one of six entries Bowie had in Rolling Stone's Top 500 albums of all time and Pitchfork had it ranked in its Top Albums of the 1970's. The bolt across his face is one of many of the lasting iconic images of Bowie's career. This is one of the many Bowie reissues from the late 2010's.
The River - Bruce Springsteen

- Label: Columbia Records
Reissue of the 1980 classic from Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Includes Drive All Night, Ties That Bind, Wreck On the Highway, Hungry Heart, Out in the Street, Cadillac Ranch, Ramrod, The Price You Pay, Point Blank, and others. This was his fifth record and the tour to support this record was, like most of his tours, of epic proportions.
Stop in the shop to pick it up, DM/email us for prepaid contact-free pick-up, or use our Buy Now feature and get it shipped right to your door! A modest shipping/handling charge of $5.98 will be added on as you check out with PayPal. Thanks!!
Led Zeppelin II - Led Zeppelin

- Label: Atlantic
Led Zeppelin II. Arguably their best work, though ask on another day and one might say "Physical Graffiti". This particular copy is the 2014 reissue where Jimmy Page got his grubby little mitts back on the studio knobs and remastered the entire catalog with stunning results. Seriously, the sound on these remasters is noticeable, unlike some remasters of vinyl or even CD and you think, "What did they do? It sounds the same!" Replace that well-loved copy you have and hear the difference! Includes Moby Dick, Heartbreaker, Whole Lotta Love, Lemon Song, and some other songs.
GNX - Kendrick Lamar

- Label: Interscope Records
The 6th studio album from Kendrick Lamar, fresh off all his Grammy wins and triumphant Super Bowl halftime performance. Dude's got it goin on. Fun Fact: GNX is the name of a Buick Regal, so there's that too. Nice. Includes title track; GNX, Dodger Blue, Reincarnated, Squabble Up, Man at the Garden, and others.
Yankee Hotel Foxtrot - Wilco

- Label: Nonesuch
This is the 20th anniversary reissue from September 2022. You know the story, we don't need to rehash it here, however, do you have YHF on vinyl? Then you need to have it on this 180g 2 record set. Wilco's pop masterpiece from 2003. Includes "I'm the Man Who Loves You", "Poor Places", "Reservations", "Heavy Metal Drummer", and a killer opening track to rival all opening tracks, "I Am Trying to Break Your Heart". On a more local front, the architect who designed Marina Towers in Chicago (shown on the cover) was also the architect of buildings at the Elgin Mental Health Center in Elgin. Elgin, of coarse, is home of Rediscover Records.
2014 Forest Hills Drive - J Cole

- Label: Roc Nation
J Cole's 2014 release "2014 Forest Dive" is a popular title around here in Rediscover Records land whenever we have it in stock, it's not here very long. Released on the RocNation label this 2 record set includes Apparently, G.O.M.D., Fire Squad, Hello, Wet Dreamz, and others. Cole handled most of the production duties himself and the title of the record is the address of where he grew up in North Carolina. This is Cole's third release and you can find this in our Hip Hop section of our New Vinyl rack on the south wall, right-hand side of the shop as you walk in.
Circles - Mac Miller

- Label: Warner Brothers
Double clear vinyl LP pressing with 12-panel poster-folder. Circles is the sixth and final studio album by Mac Miller. Conceived as a sister album to 2018's full length Swimming, the album was completed with the assistance of Jon Brion, with whom Miller worked on Swimming and had been working together on Circles at the time of his passing. While sonically distinctly different than it's predecessor, Circles features many of the hallmarks for which Swimming was critically-acclaimed upon it's release - Miller further realizing his singing voice in addition to rapping, live instrumentation and earnest, confessional lyrical content. Listeners will hear shades of some of the album's influences in it's songs, from the T-Rex guitar tone of "Surf" to the Plastic Ono Band-era John Lennon feel of it's production and the inspired cover of Arthur Lee's 1972 single "Everybody's Gotta Live." It's a momentous final entry into the discography of an artist that remains at the center of reimagining the limits of rap.
Motion & Picture - Mirrors

- Label: Pravda Records
Pretty great 2023 release from Mirrors. This Chicago band released this record on the long-running Chicago indie label Pravda Records. "Motion And Picture" is a cinematic soundscape of honest lyrical introspection and reactive abrasion, a personal timespan of disillusionment, resolve and return of hope. Waves of cascading textures blur the sonic lines between synthesizers and guitars a la My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive as Rios’s atypical rhythms anchor the songs. There's a little element of Radiohead "In Rainbows" era in this record as well. A great listen. Pick up the vinyl
Earthling - Eddie Vedder

- Label: Seattle Surf Co/Republic Records
2022 release by Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder. Includes Invincible, Long Way, The Haves, Try, Picture, and others for a total of 13 tracks. Guests include Stevie Wonder, Ringo Starr, Elton John, Chad Smith, and Andrew Watt. Cool cover photo with Eddie holding up a bass (the guitar, not the fish, just to be clear).
Healing - Todd Rundgren

- Label: Bearsville Records
Another excellent Record Store Day exclusive, Todd Rundgren's "Healing", we still have in very limited quantities. Typically once RSD titles are sold out they do not press anymore. This is the 40th anniversary pressing of Rundgren's record on Meditation on Sprituality, and the Human Condition. Pressed to clear vinyl from original analog master tapes and also includes a bonus 7" single.
Tortured Poets Dept - Taylor Swift

- Label: Rep
Another fantabulous release from Taylor Swift! With a few variants out there that she releases we'll just post a couple here. No guarantee we'll have the variant pictured here but if we have it on our site, we'll have some version of the record. Two record set with several guests performing with Taylor as well as several other songwriters penning a few tunes with her.
24 Hour Revenge Therapy - Jawbreaker

- Label: Blackball Records
The 20th anniversary edition of the rock classic by Jawbreaker, "24 Hour Revenge Therapy". After grass roots circulation by word of mouth, this soon became one of the most beloved albums of Jawbreaker's devout fan base. Most of it was recorded in Chicago with Albini. The release also saw them sign with DGC and got them an opening slot for Nirvana on the "In Utero" tour. Some fans bristled, to say the least, at both of these actions. Includes "The Boat That Dreams From the Hill", "Boxcar", "Jinx Removing", "Condition Oakland" and, well, you know what is on this record. Originally released in February of 1994, this is a sealed reissue from 2014.
Let It Be - The Replacements

- Label: Twin Tone (Reissue)
The 1984 release from Minneapolis' own, The Replacements. While the rest of the world was living in a Material World, in the Purple Rain, or Dancing in the Dark (not horrible choices, by any means), there was a small band of fans listening to bands like The Replacements. Some will say this is their best record and they would not be wrong. This reissue contains I Will Dare (in-the-pocket guitar solo by REM's Peter Buck), Unsatisfied, Answering Machine, Androgynous, and in a little poke at MTV and video stars, Seen Your Video. The cover photo was taken on the roof of the Stinson's family home and is now somewhat of a Minneapolis tourist attraction. This album became an influence to many bands who went on to gain fame in the 90's. Count Kurt Cobain, Craig Finn, and Billy Joe Armstrong as fans, to name a few.
Sign O the Times - Prince

- Label: Warner Brothers
Released in 1987, this is arguably Prince's finest work, or at least it is this writer's favorite. Includes Sign O' the Times, Housequake, U Got the Look, Starfish & Coffee, I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man (covered by the Goo Goo Dolls, of all bands, which is awesome!!) and others. A two record set, listen to the title track and find Prince was way ahead of his time on the social justice issues of today. I own a copy at home, but it's so good, writing this now makes me want to crack open this copy and play it in the shop, but I won't, I'll save it for you to open and play in your house(quake).
That Much Further West - Lucero

- Label: Liberty & Lament Records
20th anniv reissue of Memphis' own Lucero. They have recently been playing entire album shows and this record has been in rotation (literally!) in a few of the shows - one of them in Baltimore, MD. Maybe you were there! Includes the title track, The Only One, Hate and Jealousy, Sad and Lonely, Coming Home, and others, including a demo of That Much Further West.
Abbey Road (50th Anniversary Edition) - The Beatles

- Label: Apple Records/Capital
The 50th anniversary edition of the hallowed Beatles release Abbey Road. These are the Giles Martin and Sam Okell remasters. The songs sound as we remember them, maybe just a little crisper and clearer. You know the songs, you know the song sequence, listen to this iconic record again for the first time or maybe even with new ears. Replace that old, worn copy you may have with this pristine new edition. This pressing was released on 9.27.2019.
If you are buying from our site, use the convenient Buy Now button and a modest shipping charge will be added (usually $4.98) and you'll be directed to your own PayPal account. As always, thanks for your business and support of Rediscover Records.
Chulahoma - Black Keys

- Label: Fat Possum Records
Originally released in 2006 this record finds the Black Keys covering the great Junior Kimbrough. This set includes Keep Your Hands Off Her, Work Me, Meet Me in the City, and a few others. It's a 6 song EP, which back in the day meant "Extended Play" for those of you keeping score at home.
All Born Screaming - St Vincent

- Label: Universal Records (Import)
*Very* Limited red colored vinyl. St. Vincent's first self-produced record, All Born Screaming, is Annie Clark at her most unfiltered. This St Vincent record is an invitation to test the limits of what is possible - and to then keep going. Brought to life with the aid of a highly curated dream lineup of friends - Rachel Eckroth, Josh Freese, Dave Grohl, Mark Guiliana, Cate Le Bon, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Stella Mogzawa and David Ralicke - the album is an unadulterated expression of St. Vincent's singular vision. This is the suggested retail price being it on the limited presses red vinyl.
Divers - Joanna Newsom

- Label: Drag City
Double album set from Drag City Records recording artist Joanna Newsom "Divers". Sometimes the artist's site has the best capsule for a record much better than we could come up with, so here's Drag City's brief bio on this album, "...further along and down the road apiece from where she took her leave of us, Joanna Newsom plays on. Breathe deep and equalize your today-ears to the new world of Divers...
Twin Plagues - Wednesday

- Label: Dead Oceans Records
2021 release from one of the bigger buzz bands of 2023. You may have heard of "Rat Saw God" but check out this earlier release where it might be a little more shoegaze than Americana. Includes the title track, Handsome Man, Cliff, One More Last One, and others.
30 - Adele

- Label: Columbia Records
This is 30. This is 30 at $38.98. The highly anticipated record from the incomparable Adele. The 2 record collection includes My Little Love, Crazy By Nature, Oh My God, Can I Get It, and others. It's her first release since "25" in 2015 when she was 25.
RTJ4 - Run the Jewels

- Label: BMG Records
The much-anticipated release 2020 from Run the Jewels! Includes the hit Ooh La La as well as Yankee and the Brave (ep 4), Out of Sight, Pulling the Pin, and others. Entertainment Weekly says, "The no-holds barred rap duo return when we need them most." Listen to what the New York Times has to say, "Run the Jewels are rewriting rap's rules." A two disc set with a lyric book. Dope.
Great Impersonator - Halsey

- Label: Columbia Records
"A Lifelong Performance By Halsey" reads the back of the record jacket. A 2024 release by the eclectic artist, Halsey, this album includes Dog Years, Only Living Girl In LA, Letter to God, Darwinism, and others. A sharp looking gatefold release with awesome liner notes too.
Bambi - Hippo Campus

- Label: Fat Possum Records
2018 release from the St Paul-Minneapolis combo, Hippo Campus! Includes Mistakes, Anxious, Doubt, Bambi, Golden, and others. This record probably includes as many one-word song titles as Pearl Jam "Ten". Probably. NPR named them their favorite new artist of 2017.
Let It Come Down - Spiritualized

- Label: Fat Possum Records
Rad reissue of "Let It All Come Down", the 2001 record, by Spritualized. This is pressed to two-180 gram slabs of vinyl sweetness. Includes On Fire, Do It All Over Again, The Twelve Steps, and others. All songs written and arranged by J. Spaceman (Jason Pierce). Recorded at Air Studios and Abbey Road Studios. A very long list of artists contribute on this LP. Check the back of the album liner notes for the names! Liner notes are cool.
Wild Onion - Twin Peaks

- Label: Grand Jury Records
We're excited to be carrying Twin Peaks "Wild Onion"! Released in 2014 on the Grand Jury label, there is no shortage of praise for this rock combo, as you can see in just a couple of the quotes here. Included in this LP is "I Found A New Way", "Mirror of Time", "Sloop Jay D", "Stranger World", "Flavor", "Hold On" and others. Look at the album art font, looks like a wonderful homage to the Beach Boys "Wild Honey". In any event, pick this up today! Includes an MP3 download of the entire record so you can take it on the go.
As It Ever Was, As It Will Be Again - Decemberists

- Label: Yabb Records
Brand new record, if you're reading this in June of 2024, from The Decemberists! Great lyrics, songs, melodies, and they were on Parks and Rec. What more could you want? Find it here! Thanks for shopping with us.
Evergreen - Soccer Mommy

- Label: Loma Vista Records
Sophie Allison has always written candidly about her life, making Soccer Mommy one of indie rock’s most interesting and beloved artists of the last decade. On Evergreen, Allison is again writing about her life but life’s different these days. Since 2022's Sometimes, Forever, Allison experienced a profound and personal loss. New songs emerged, unflinching reflections on what she was feeling. She wanted them to sound that way too, as true to the demos as possible. Nothing overindulgent, everything real.
Nightfall of Diamonds - Grateful Dead

- Label: Rhino Records
Record Store Day exclusive from 2024 from the Grateful Dead! A 4-record set (7 sides) recorded live in 1989 at New Jersey's Meadowlands Arena.
