The most recent release from British Sea Power. The Brighton based band is back with their special brand of sweeping indie pop rock. Their sound has often been compared to The Cure, Pixies, or The Arcade Fire. The first single, "Living Is So Easy" was released in late November 2010 digitally, but we all know that you need this on vinyl. Though it's early in 2011, look for this record to make plenty of '11 "Best Of" lists at the end of the year.

Excellent release by the Chicago rock outfit, Vee Dee. Includes "Howling At the Sun", "Same Arms", "Gypsy Iron", and "Stray People". Vee Dee is Dan Lang, Ryan Murphy, and Nick D'Vyne. This record, as with most new releases, includes an MP3 of the entire album. There's no reason not to get this! A 2011 release on white marbled vinyl. Very cool.

One of the more exciting new releases for 2012, it's Kathleen Edwards and her latest record "Voyageur". It has producing credits to none other than Justin Vernon. Baroque pop music from The Left Banke. This New York quintet managed to merge the best qualities of baroque music elements into a pop music setting with dazzling results. Included, of course, is"Pretty Ballerina" and one of the greatest songs ever written, "Walk Away Renee". The rest of the album is great too, highlighted by the spirited number, "She May Call You Up Tonight". A magnificent reissue from the Sundazed label. Just one of many of Weezer's self-titled records. This one is particularly "Red". To paraphrase Spinal Tap, "How much more red can it be?" Though Rivers Coumo is the much-ballyhooed leader of this band, this is the first Weezer record where other members of the band have lead vocal duties and even songwriting credits. The video for "Pork & Beans" became an internet sensation upon it's release on them there YouTubes. Order today, remember, vinyl sounds better. Make listening to music an event!

The 2012 reissue of The Beatles "The Beatles", better known as the "White Album". The cover went contrary to all the detail that was put into the Sgt Pepper cover. Included in this remastered double LP is the original poster with the lyrics and photos. Also included is the four 8x10 iconic head shots of all four Beatles. One of the more iconic record covers of all time, With The Beatles photographed by Robert Freeman. It remains an influence nearly 50 years after its original release, often duplicated and paid homage to. Side One starts with "It Won't Be Long" and then ride the wave of Beatlemania.

Just to be clear, this is the reissue of this Beatles record. They were all remastered and re-released in November of 2012. They are the original Parlophone UK pressings with the song sequence as The Beatles intended them to be released (as opposed to the Capital counterparts overseas)

This a 2-LP set that includes the title track as well as "The Bullfighter Dies", "Mountjoy", "Kiss Me A Lot" and "I'm Not A Man". The LP does include 6 bonus tracks that are not on the CD or digital releases, which is pretty cool. This record is now out of print and is commanding much higher prices than this.
